So many little packages! I was swooning with delight!!!

(clockwise from top) The mostest cutest bag in the world filled with Knitpicks in 'puff colors, a lovely card, pomegranate apple lotion from Bath & Body Works (I love it love love it!), E. Zimmerman's Knitters' Almanac (I swear I almost bought that book last weekend!), Initial notecards, a miniature zen garden, 2 (!) boxes of Bertie Bott's every flavor beans, an adorable magnet (says: whoever said money can't buy happiness forgot about puppies!), a supa fabulous skein of handpainted yarn by Crazy for Dyeing(it's Blue Faced Leicester!!!!!!!!I think I'ma have to go lie down....), 2 packages of woven tags to put in handknit items, gorgeous 'puff stitch markers, 2 little containers of beads in blues!!!(hard to see in photo).
On top of all of that............she lined the bag!
In the card she said she was sending another package with needles and here it is: With a fabulous sock pattern. I am ************SO*********** spoiled. Thank you a MILLION times over, Emma. I am so so so impressed!

Re-current Bubotuber Boils

Has anyone *ever* had this? You might remember that earlier in the year I couldn't knit because of fingerswelling after an unfortunate run - in with a bubotuber pus. Well I haven't been anywhere NEAR a bubotuber plant since, but a week and a half ago, my fingers swelled up TWICE as bad as before - no knitting & no typing. AAARGH! So embarassing. I ended up going to a specialist hag in West Virginia to get it fixed. Hopefully it won't return.

Bibbity bobbity whoops!

So I was trying to master this knitting spell to make a knitted hat. This is wot I ended up with:







Now it's true that there are many improvements over the last time:

1) it's an actual knitted item (unlike the extremely tangled yarn blob I got last time that giggled when you touched it)

2) I did want stripes and it has stripes

I could actually wrap this around my head if I wished. I'm tempted to see what happens if I try for a scarf.
